Adria Starkey

Adria Starkey has been actively involved in the Naples community for more than 20 years. A veteran in the financial services industry, she retired from her position of regional president with Wachovia Bank in 2005, where she led more than 1,000 employees and managed in excess of $5 billion in deposits. Her decision to retire was prompted by a desire to focus on family and various personal interests, including learning to play the piano. She recently formed Bayside Capital Advisors, which is a financial consulting firm dealing primarily in distressed debt.

Adria’s passion for Naples is reflected in her community involvement. She is currently vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Shelter for Abused Women and Children, and a trustee for the Naples Children and Education Foundation—where she has served on the grant committee for the past three years—and the University of Florida’s Harn Museum National Council. In 2008, she was honored by Edison College as the LIFE (Leadership in Fostering Education) award recipient due to her ongoing commitment to education. The Greater Naples AAUW honored Starkey as a “Woman of Achievement” in 2004.  In 2000, Adria was recognized by Gulfshore Life as Woman of the Year. Adria has served as chairman of the Board of the Economic Development Council of Collier County, the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council, and boards of Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation, Naples Area Chamber of Commerce, The Community School of Naples and Collier County Education Foundation.

She is married to Jerry Starkey, and between them, they share four wonderful children.
