Her television career began at the age of nine as an anchor on an award-winning children's show, "Action News For Kids" in New York, and continued at Waterman Broadcasting as a reporter and anchor. Kellie won the 2006 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Hard News Feature and the 1999 Florida Associated Press Award for Long Serious Feature and picked up the same award in 2003. Some of the honors she has received outside the world of television include: Gulfshore Life Magazine's "Women of the Year", Humanitarian Award from Saks Fifth Avenue, Media Award 2000 and 2001 from the American Cancer Society, Honorary Chair of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Naples Winter Wine Festival committee to raise money for Youth Haven and Boys & Girls Club, S.S. Hope Gala for The Children's Hospital, Arts for Act to benefit Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center. |
