Sandra Stilwell Silverglide

sss.jpgSandy has nine businesses.  Eight on Captiva and one in Fort Myers.  On Captiva she owns Keylime Bistro, Sunshine Seafood Café and Wine Bar, RC Otter’s Island Eats, Latte Da Coffee Shop, Captiva Island Inn,  Celebration Center of Captiva, Paradise Shopping Center and her newest, Cantina Captiva.  In Fort Myers she owns the Sunshine Seafood Café and Lounge on Winkler and Gladiolus.

Now that her two sons are grown, she has more time to serve the community.  She is a Grandmother of two lovely little boys, ages two and four who live on Maui.

Voted one of the Men and Women of the Year in 2007 for GulfShore Life Magazine was a great honor along with receiving the 1st Annual Apex Award for Women in Business for the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce. 

She is serving her third year of Chairman of the Board of the Salvation Army of Lee County.  She also is Vice President of the FL Repertory Theatre.  She sits on The Board of Trustees of Hodges University, formerly International College. She is a board member of the following organizations:  Florida Gulf Coast University Resort & Hospitality School, Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce, Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, Lee Mental Health, Ruth Cooper Center “Vista” project, Uncommon Friends Foundation, The American Heart Assn. Advisory Board and The American Heart Association Community Council.  Sandy was the 2007 Lee County Heart Ball Chairman.  She has volunteered extensively in the Sea Turtle program for Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation.  Sandy was the 2006 Junior League’s Community Service Award and was a Blue Chip Business Award finalist, an award for businesses that have gone through adversity. She was also voted “Best Citizen” by the readership poll of The Islander – Island Reporter.
