Gulfshore Life magazine, Naples, has an opening for an Assistant Art Director. We’re looking for a creative designer with at least two years publication design experience.

Candidate must be able to design page layouts, assign and edit photography, and produce consistent, accurate work on tight deadlines. They must have good organizational skills and enjoy being a team player. Expertise in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required.

• Ability to produce consistently accurate work and do editor’s changes correctly

• Good organizational skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• A team player who can pitch in and help out where needed within the art department

The ideal candidate will have strong editing and writing skills along with proficiency in social media and Web applications. Generation of advertising sales for the "health" category, Gulfshore Life magazine, ancillary publications (Naples Health and Naples Realtor) and digital products, as well as cultivating event sponsorships.

·      Qualify best prospects to benefit from magazine audience and advertising services
·      Schedule appointments; determine prospect’s needs and challenges; make initial presentation; determine best solutions; prepare contracts; close sales 
·      Maintain activity level and closing ratio adequate to meet or exceed sales goals
·      Expand sales from existing accounts by cross-selling to new products that fit client needs
·      Recommend up-sell opportunities to accounts that need to enhance brand awareness to capture or protect market share and seize new opportunities
·      Update job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities
·      Work with production department to facilitate timely delivery of client advertising materials

Experience: 3+ years advertising sales
Knowledge and Skills: Word, Excel, Magazine Manager
Abilities: Professional and strong skills in presentation, communication, prospecting, closing, motivation, planning, persistence, territory management and meeting sales goals
Education: College degree preferred
