Design Trend: Fuzzy Furniture

These shaggy looks add some texture to your design.

BY April 16, 2014

Guests might think you’re overfeeding your white Persian when they first spy this shaggy bench. Yes, your sleepy pets are probably going to love the soft Icelandic sheep for a snooze or even try to make friends (please, take videos if they do). Fuzzy accent pieces like the bench, with matte champagne metallic legs, are all the rage and fortunately shed less than Fifi or Fido. Shown measuring 60-by-20-inches, the bench can be custom sized to your specs with several finish options for the hand-forged iron base at Pure Design, Naples.

C.R. Laine’s Chai looks like a chair that’s shrugged on sheep’s clothing. Its snow-white Mongolian fur is paired with porcelain fabric and legs for the white-on-white look we’re seeing in Gulfshore homes. $1,750, crlaine.com for retailers.

This chair from C.R. Laine answers the question "What would Cher sit in?"
