What to do on New Year’s Eve? Dine out? Watch fireworks? Go to a show? Actually, you can do it all in Southwest Florida. Here are a few ideas to get you in the mood to ring in the New Year.

Party: Society at Bell Tower shops offers a DJ downstairs and live music upstairs; Blue Martini hosts an elegant night with its Diamonds in the Sky party; Downtown Countdown in Fort Myers features live music and a ball drop at midnight; Fort Myers Beach hosts its annual New Year’s Eve and Town Birthday celebration (with free cupcakes!).

Dine: Many restaurants offer special NYE dinners. Highlights include special meals at The French, Truluck’s, 21 Spices, Osteria Tulia and Timeless.

Cruise: Pure Florida offers a sunset cruise in Naples and Fort Myers; hop aboard the Pieces of Eight for Salty Sam’s annual NYE’s fireworks cruise off Fort Myers Beach; dinner, dancing and a champagne toast await onboard the Naples Princess.

Take in a show: Artis—Naples hosts NYE with the Naples Philharmonic; Rock to Gold dinner dance features The Styles at La Venezia Ballroom on Cape Coral; the annual fireworks show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Naples Pier; Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre puts on a production of Chicago.

Shop: Sip and shop (and sing) at Promenade at Bonita Bay.
