Florida Ranks High in Resident Well-Being

The annual Gallup-Sharecare State of Well-Being Index was released Tuesday.

BY February 13, 2018

Residents in the Sunshine State continue to remain sunny. Florida came in at No. 12 in the annual Gallup-Sharecare State of Well-Being Index.

The index ranks each state based on survey responses on a variety of data, including financial stability, community pride and physical well-being. Floridians actually came in No. 1 when it came to a sense of social support.

This makes sense, considering Florida (and Southwest Florida, in particular) ranks high in similar surveys of best places to live.

South Dakota (believe it or not) came in at No. 1. Unfortunately, for the first time in nearly a decade, the overall well-being of Americans declined slightly.
