Battle of the Sexes fundraiser

Featuring Nancy Lopez and Chris DiMarco

Swinging With Purpose continues to make a difference for the women and children in our community. On Nov. 7, the inaugural "Battle of the Sexes" was held at Quail West Golf and Country Club. Captains Nancy Lopez (PGA Hall of Famer) and Chris DiMarco (PGA Professional and Golf Channel’s Morning Drive host) led a fun-filled day where 14 couples battled for our beneficiaries. Captain DiMarco led the guys to victory with the biggest winner being the organizations serving women and children in our community.

The following day, Nov. 8, an "It's All About Nancy" luncheon was held at Stonebridge Country Club where 150 guests enjoyed an afternoon Q&A and a “listen and learn” on the 18th green. Both events were sold out and the two days' activities generated more than $90,000 in net proceeds. We extend a special thank you to Nancy Lopez, Chris DiMarco, and the Quail West and Stonebridge members for their continued support of our mission. Because of these collective efforts, we have exceeded $300,000 to our beneficiaries in our fourth year. It is also noteworthy that because of our Sponsors and Volunteer Board of Directors, 95 cents of every dollar collected goes to our beneficiaries.
