All Aboard the Winged Bus

Just because everyone else has gone casual during air travel, doesn't mean you should look like a slob.

Anyone who has been traveling lately will have noticed the horror it is to travel. As my father says, “Airplanes have become so common they are merely a bus with wings.” And judging by what the passengers are wearing, one can’t help but agree.

The worst offender at the moment—people flat out wearing pajamas all over the airports. I even saw a grown woman in flannel pajamas with animal slippers.

So I thought I would give three options to those who can’t be bothered to dress for airline travel but give them the chic version.

1) Designer Pajamas.  Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs...virtually everyone has chic pajamas now in their collections.  If you have to wear sleepwear as actual clothing.  This is how.

2) The classic trench with a twist.  Every designer has a trench.  If you can’t be roused to create an outfit.  At very least you can cover up the ugly with one of these gorgeous trenches with a twist from Massimo dutti and Ferragamo.

3) And finally if you can make some effort when you go out into the world—but not much—you can have the simplest of looks that always works.  Black turleneck and black  tailored pant.  You can’t go wrong.  You will always look put together.  This should be your staple for when you can’t do anything else. After all, it worked for Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn.
