Laine’s appropriately named Gotham chair’s shown in cowboy coal leather is accented with alternating nickel and pewter nails, a look that “feels more polished than rough,” according to the company’s Holly Blalock. $2,275, crlaine.com for locations. Century Furniture also takes fashion’s “tough girl look” for a spin, adding edge in small doses like its Phoenix bench, shown with embossed leather and square nail-head accents.
