Can't Sleep? Blame Your Brain
A study suggests insomniacs have different brains than sound sleepers.
Are you having trouble sleeping? If so, your brain may be messing with your head. A new study from Johns Hopkins University says that the brains of insomniacs are different from the average brain. It seems that insomniac's brains have more plasticity and are better at reacting to change. And while that sounds like a good thing, it's bad at bedtime. Insomniac's brains don't seem to shut off. Researchers are still working on why that is and are a long way off from fixing it. They suggest that if you regularly experience insomnia, to see a sleep specialist. Then again, it sounds like it's all in your head.
