Limited-Edition Bottle Helps HSN

At The Continental or Campiello, you can order a Syrah with a doggone cute portrait by Naples-based artist Amy Brazil.

Luck be the ladies and gents who went to Humane Society Naples’ rocka-nd-roll-themed gala this year. The annual soiree, known to be one of the most fun in town, had the added benefit of a stellar pair of honorary co-chairs, mega-restaurateur Richard D’Amico and his wife, artist Amy Brazil. Brazil, who specializes in portraits of canine cuties (and has many adorning the walls of the Humane Society’s headquarters), partnered with California’s Lucky Dogg Winery to release a limited-edition bottle of 2015 Syrah. It's bottle features an original painting, an ode to her favorite rock star, Keith Richards, with a pierced-eared sheepdog free-styling on a Richards’ guitar. Guests of the gala walked away with the bottles at the end of the night. They were such a hit that D’Amico ordered more from the winery to sell at his two Third Street South hot spots, The Continental and Campiello (where dogs are always welcome on both patios). Sales of each $65 bottle—which Higor Valle, The Continental’s sommelier, describes as, “medium bodied and youthful … with lovely hints of black cherry and violet”—will have proceeds donated back to HSN.
