CCBF Benefit for New Horizons

Collier County Bar Foundation Hosted its Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit New Horizons

Kim Spiker, Treasurer of The Collier County Bar Foundation (CCBF), the philanthropic arm of the Collier County Bar Association, presented a check for $2,500 to Ellen Nichols, the Co-Founder and Director of Program Development of New Horizons of Southwest Florida.

As an active partner in the future of the Southwest Florida community, the Collier County Bar Foundation provides college scholarships for qualified individuals; encourages and promotes education and community awareness of the law and; pursues and participates in charitable activities that benefit youth and underprivileged residents in Southwest Florida. In addition, it supports organizations like New Horizons in their mission to help at risk children and teens who are growing up in an environment of poverty, academic failure and hopelessness. 

From its humble beginnings with 20 children in 2002, New Horizons currently reaches 500 children and teens at seven locations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and South Fort Myers; providing over 100,000 hours of after school tutoring and mentoring annually at no cost to their families.
