Big Blue Brewing on Tap for October

The owner of Wicked Dolphin distillery is set to make waves, with a brewpub opening soon in the South Cape.

The rise of JoAnn Elardo’s Wicked Dolphin artisan rum has been swift and far-reaching. Distilled under a colorful Cape Coral roof, the line of spirits has won numerous international awards since its start a few years ago, and the team regularly lets in visitors for tours and tastings.

Now, Elardo is ready to launch her second act, Big Blue Brewing in the South Cape (you know, that uber-cool area lined with hipster foodie dens like Nevermind and Nice Guys). The brewery and restaurant tag-lined “Pints, Plates & Provisions” has a grand opening scheduled for Oct. 1, 2016. The taps are working; the tables are nearly set. Throughout September Elardo and her team will perfect the brews and small plates in anticipation.

Given Elardo’s track record with rum, local beer aficionados and food lovers alike have reason to be excited. Big time.
