It ain't the Whistle Stop Café of Fannie Flagg fame, but Dixie Moon Café in Bonita Springs does serve up some of the best fried green tomatoes around these parts. Crisply coated in a cornmeal-sweet batter, the tart tomatoes come with a side of earthy Texas caviar (sort of a Southern salsa of black-eyed peas) and chili-charged Dixie Moon sauce. The restaurant is at 27755 Old U.S. 41 (at Dean Street). Call 495-0023.
