Happenings and Highlights of June

Art

Cape Coral Arts Studio. The floral art exhibit May's Bouquets ends its run June 4. Information: 574-0802.

Von Liebig Art Center. Continuing through July 3: Made in Florida: The Contemporary Landscape, offering works by Sean Sexton, Spence Guerin and James Couper, among others; and The Wednesday Studio, including works by members of a Naples Art Association group that meets weekly to paint. Naples Museum of Art. Continuing through July 31: Ansel Adams and Edwin Land: Art, Science and Invention-Photographs from the Polaroid Collection. Also on view for those dates is Staging Reality: Photography from the West Collection at SEI, which features works by James Casebere and Todd Hido. Information: 597-1900.

Kids' All-American Fishing Derby. Up to 100 youngsters will be trying their luck at this annual event at the Cape Coral Yacht Club, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 5. Information: 574-0806.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Spend a day with Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Sally and the Peanuts gang as the Naples Dinner Theatre's Ice Cream Theatre offers matinees of this musical adaptation of the beloved comic strip. Alice in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll's delightful fantasy entertains in the Children's Theatre series at the Broadway Palm, June 18, 19, 23, 25 and 27, and again July 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 and 11. Information: 278-4422.

The Odd Couple. They're Florence and Olive in the female version of Neil Simon's perennial comedy hit, onstage through Aug. 14 at the Old Schoolhouse Theater. Information: 472-6862.

Superstar Month. Judy and Liza, Elvis and Liberace-they're all onstage this month at Naples Dinner Theatre. At least, some of their finest impersonators are. First, Suzanne Goulet and Rebecca Young reproduce Judy Garland and daughter Liza (June 2-6), followed by Martin Preston as Liberace (June 9-12) and Daylin James as the King (June 16-27).
