The founder of the biannual Magnolia Ball, which has raised $1.2 million for the NCH Regional Cancer Institute, Suzanne Chute, 57, is known for organizational savvy, a can-do attitude and compassion. After battling cancer, she won't waste a minute of what she terms "a second chance." She supports medical research and environmental causes, including the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. She and her husband, Bob, are founding trustees of the Naples Winter Wine Festival, and advocates for underserved children.

Favorite Southwest Florida spot: Living on our beautiful beach, I enjoy watching the constantly changing water and sky.
