There's no shortage of live theater, with both professional and community troupes producing plays. On the professional side, the Naples Dinner Theatre and the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers feature that ever-popular combination: dinner and a show. Florida Repertory Theatre in downtown Fort Myers presents newer shows and a smattering of old favorites. The semiprofessional Theatre Conspiracy focuses on staging regional and world premieres. On the community side, the Naples Players perform at the Sugden Community Theatre in downtown Naples, and many other groups perform around the region most of the year.
Traveling professional productions as well as an international lineup of dance troupes, comedians and musicians perform at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts in Naples and the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers. Symphony orchestras play at both venues several times a year.
