What are you wearing? My shirt is Perry Ellis. The tie is Geoffrey Beene. My mom gave it to me when I went to visit her in Atlanta. It's one of my favorites. My pants are Hugo Boss and my shoes are Donald J Pliner.

How did you choose this outfit? I wanted to wear something with color because it's almost summer. Also my girlfriend, Heather, told me I should probably wear a tie.

Who are your fashion influences? I like Johnny Depp's style. He has a good look, and he makes it his own. I think the most common mistake in fashion is when people try too hard.

What would you never wear? Tank tops or Speedos. They aren't flattering, regardless of body type.

What's the worst fashion mistake you see people make? White tennis shoes with jeans-Jerry Seinfeld!

What do you like to splurge on and what do you bargain shop for? Recently I went to San Francisco for my birthday, and I splurged on a brown Dolce & Gabbana kangaroo-leather jacket. I bargain shop for shoes, T-shirts and sunglasses. I find a lot of great things at the Miromar Outlets and on bluefly.com and zappos.com.

How does your everyday life affect what you wear?

I'm a pre-K teacher at Royal Palm Academy, so I wear a shirt and tie. I'm also the Naples High School boy's varsity basketball coach, and I tend to dress nice for games.
