What’s happening this month.

MUSEUMS & GALLERIES

Alliance for the Arts. Young artists display their best work, as chosen by Lee County schools’ art teachers. Elementary and middle school works are on display until April 14; high school artists display April 20 to May 5. The Best of Show wins a trip to Giverny, France, to study with Gale Bennett. 939-2787.

Naples Museum of Art. On display until April 21, a collection of 20th century prints from favorite artists such as Salvador Dali and Robert Rauschenberg in From Cassatt to Katz. The handwritten Saint John’s Bible, illuminated by artist Donald Jackson, will be on display until April 6. Six Continents of Quilts: The Museum of Arts & Design Collection opens April 21 and runs until June 30. Two exhibits, Impressions: Americans in France, 1860-1930 and Claude Monet: Giverney and the North of France, continue to May 13. Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. The NPO concludes its classical series with Symphonic Splendor, a concert featuring Carlos Miguel Prieto, music director of Mexico’s oldest orchestra, April 12–15; then finishes off its pops series with A Century of Broadway, April 24–29.
