In the glass-domed rotunda of the Naples Museum of Art hangs a stunning, red-tentacled, 244-inch-high chandelier created by Dale Chihuly, the most renowned glass artist of our time. This sculpture sets the tone for the ever-evolving art mecca that now defines our region. Besides our hundreds of fine galleries, beautiful works of sculpture and trompe l’oiel grace both public and private spaces. Old Naples, home of Gallery Row along Third Street South, and the galleries of Fifth Avenue South, is especially delightful on Thursday evenings, when twinkly lights and street musicians provide added ambience to your art stroll. At Naples’ Bayfront Place, top-tier galleries join the chic mix of bistros and boutiques overlooking the Gordon River.
