Name This Adorable Bongo Calf

The latest member of the Naples Zoo was born Jan. 23. Now, you get to decide his name.

Here's your chance to name the baby bongo at The Naples Zoo. The calf was born Jan. 23 at the zoo to mother Amara and has been healthy and thriving since birth. 

Zoo staff have nominated the three Swahili names for the public to choose. Place your vote and learn more about the significance of each name here.

The calf is of particular significance because it is one of the few remaining Eastern bongos in the world. Poaching and deforestation have decimated the number of wild bongos, which are a species of antelope. However, zoos have taken on the task of building up the populations again through breeding programs. Read more about bongos here
