How can paintings inspired by the Naples’ sunset serve as a metaphor for eternity?
Jamie Treadwell, Artist/Coach/Urban Monk, is producing a new series of ambitious paintings, and opening the creative process to the public. His visual starting point is the Naples sunset. His goal is to paint the meaning behind the scene, seeking to create stunning images that bring to life a series of spiritual reflections on eternity. What will these paintings look like? At the outset, even the artist doesn’t know. The creative journey is a genuine process of discovery.
Jamie will visit Naples between November 5 and 18. During this time he will engage in his preliminary research. This includes sketching, painting, prayer and reflection, writing, speaking and meeting with local residents. The process culminates in the "Eternity" celebration event and exhibition of paintings between February 26 and March 1, 2014. The public can follow the creative process and development of the paintings through his website blog and monthly newsletters. Most of the paintings will be created in his studio in London, England during December and January.
Jamie is available to meet with groups and/or give presentations on this project and theme during his visit in November. Please contact Jamie via his website to make arrangements for meeting up. http://www.jamietreadwell.com/artist/contact/
