Join the Naples Concert Band (www.NaplesConcertBand.org) as it presents guest conductor and composer Dr. James Swearingen at its February Concert in the Park on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Cambier Park.
Dr. Swearingen will select gems from his over 450 published works - including band compositions and arrangements that reflect a variety of musical forms and styles - and conduct them during the second half of the concert. Three Naples Concert Band (NCB) members will also be featured with Dr. Swearingen. They are Franklin Summers, narrator; Lou DeBonzo, alto saxophone; and Lori Beshears, trumpet. The first half of the concert will feature outstanding vocalists Janine and Duncan Connell. They will sing,"Love Changes Everything," from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical, "Aspects Of Love". "Overture to Candide", "Young Persons Guide to John Williams", "Sinatra," and "Barnum and Bailey's Favorite," will also be performed.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Naples’ own concert band under the direction of Harris Lanzel and guest conductor Dr. James Swearingen.
