Bring your horse to 'hoof it' or a pair of boots to hike the Belle Meade Tract of the Picayune Strand State Forest. This forest provides habitats for deer, turkey, black bears, bald eagles, wood storks, Big Cypress fox squirrels and swallow-tailed kits. While you enjoy the wildlife on the 10-mile horse trail or the 3.5-mile, 2-legged hiker trails, you can take part in NEC's poker run and enjoy live music, photo opportunities with Whispering Pines Clydesdales, a raffle of prizes as well as a BBQ lunch. Arrive at your leisure, but trails must be completed by 3pm. All proceeds from NEC’s annual Hoof & Hike Poker Run event are allocated for the care and retirement of its therapy horses. More information at www.NaplesEquestrianChallenge.org.
|Cost||$50 per person includes poker run entry fee, park entry, lunch and a t-shirt.|
