The Marco Players Theater is proud to sponsor “Play with the Arts,” an event designed to celebrate local artists. Meet four artists as they share their creative process during demonstrations planned for Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at The Artist’s Gallery in the Esplanade on Marco Island.
The sessions are an opportunity for guests to meet, talk with, and observe creative techniques of the featured artists. “We are excited to showcase Marco Island artists. The Marco Players wants to build strong connections between our community theater and the arts,” says Beverly Dahlstrom, President of The Marco Players.
Open to the public, two sessions will be held each day on November 1 and 2 at The Artist’s Gallery, 760 N. Collier Blvd., in The Esplanade. Visitors should look for the banner, balloons and signs that will guide them to the gallery.
On Friday, November 1 at 11:00 am, artist Karen Swanker will showcase her “Found Objects in Art.” At 2:00 pm, Inez Hudson will demonstrate “Where to Begin with Oil.” On Saturday, November 2, at 11:00 am, Ginny Mueller will share “Teapots & Embellishments.” At 2:00 pm, Tara O’Neill will show us “Skyscapes.” Each demonstration will last for approximately 45 minutes. The artists will also have artistic pieces for sale.
