Saint Ann Catholic School in Naples, a ministry of Saint Ann Parish, will host the second annual Saint Ann Latino Contemporary Art Auction (www.SALCAA.org) on Wednesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. at Artis—Naples, The Baker Museum, located at 5833 Pelican Bay Boulevard in Naples. Originally scheduled for January, the event was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma.
The Saint Ann Latino Contemporary Art Auction (SALCAA) will give attendees the opportunity to meet prominent local and international Latino artists, bid on their artwork during the silent auction, and enjoy authentic Latino hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment, all while raising funds to perpetuate the Saint Ann Latino Scholarship Fund. SALCAA was developed in collaboration with the Cultural and Performing Arts Center (CAPA) in support of the Saint Ann Latino Scholarship Fund. This fund began in 2012 with an anonymous donation with the purpose of creating a scholarship for underprivileged children of Latino background. After five years, 17 students had benefitted from the fund, but it was running out. Through the Latino Scholarship Fund, Saint Ann School continues to fulfill its mission of serving all families who desire a unique faith-based education of excellence in spirit, mind, and body for their children, but could not otherwise afford it.
Tickets for the Saint Ann Latino Contemporary Art Auction are just $250 per person and can be purchased by visiting www.SALCAA.org.
