Description:
In the center of the River District's renaissance comes a new art gallery specializing in modern and contemporary themes with an eye on new and conceptual ideas. Current-day artists such as Sean DeMirza and Piper Rudich are paired with some of the greatest artistic icons of the past, including American pop artist Larry Rivers, surrealist Salvador Dali, irreverent subway artist Keith Haring as well as Henri Matisse, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg. Space 39 exhibits paintings, sculpture and print works from emerging and established local, national and international artists.
