The Feminine Influence
Its George III design, soft antique ivory finish and finely carved florals, crests and frieze make Theodore Alexander’s Spencer House sofa the perfect addition to a parlor or sitting room, where you just might be inclined to host high tea. The three-seat sofa is also embellished with carved cabriole legs and scroll feet. Priced at $6,799 and available at Fifth Avenue Design Gallery, Naples.
A painted pink lacy fringe—or a custom pattern of your choosing—adds a girly touch to Victoria + Albert’s freestanding double-ended York tub. Made from durable volcanic limestone that keeps water warmer longer, the 73-gallon tub is priced at $2,910 and available at Ferguson Enterprises, Naples.
Tiptoe through the Tulips
An oversized floral pattern reminiscent of a watercolor painting and a design devoid of sharp lines gives C.R. Laine’s Sotheby chair a certain softness. Its femininity and curving tulip shape is accented by jewel-like chrome nail-head trim above hand-finished driftwood legs. As shown, with Daphne upholstery, a 100-percent cotton fabric with a melon background, the chair is priced at $1,468. Available at Alison Craig Home Furnishings, Naples.
Delicate bas-relief vines and florals twist around the plump base of The Natural Light’s garden vessel lamp, shown in taupe with a linen shade. The lamp, made in Panama City, measures 25.5 inches and retails for $325 through local interior designers.
Dress Up Your Dressing Room
Really, there’s no need to apologize if this leather-and-fabric chaise suddenly makes you want to sit a spell. Featuring a tufted leather back and measuring a glorious 62 inches long, Jessica Charles’ chaise for Hancock and Moore is perfect for a dressing room or reading area. Available in more than 500 fabrics and leathers, the lounger is part of Robb & Stucky’s New Traditions collection. Priced, as shown, at $1,999.
Pillows with Panache
Elaine Smith’s newest collection of pillows—ruffled rounds in soft blue mist ($165) and Watercolor, with a delicate floral pattern on an ombre background, left ($145)—would be a great accent to any room, but surprise: These beauties are meant for the great outdoors. They can be ordered through Carls Patio, Fort Myers and Naples.
Pretty in Pink
Local artist Leoma Lovegrove pays homage to Aerosmith frontman and American Idol judge Steven Tyler by painting the lyrics to his song Pink across this cotton-linen covered armchair. Buyers can also commission a companion chair (perhaps blue?) with the lyrics of their choice. The chairs are priced at $1,800 each, through Lovegrove Studios, Matlacha.
Whimsical lilac and blue blooms flit across Capel Rugs’ Mesmerize Bloom, a 5-by-8-foot wool area rug created by Kevin O’Brien. Priced at $399, it’s available through Sanibel Home Furnishings.
