Sam I Am at Bar Tulia

Don’t be fooled by a name. Bar Tulia, the latest entrant into Naples’ Fifth Avenue’s burgeoning dining scene, is a gastropub through and through (it shares a wall with sister restaurant Osteria Tulia, but that’s about it). As can be expected from the guidance of Chef Vincenzo Betulia, the cocktails are epicurean masterpieces in themselves. Take the Sam I Am, named for Samantha Spense, whom Betulia credits as his “amazing and driven” bartender who crafted it. The pretty libation packs a delicate yet deeply flavorful punch with top-shelf vodka, raspberries, egg white and the Italian digestivi Cocchi Barolo Chinato.
