Add a Little Edge

Oldie with a contemporary spin

Oldie with a contemporary spin

Nail-head trim and a not-so-traditional design give a classic club chair a contemporary spin and geometric styling. Featuring chestnut burl veneered legs and upholstered leather, Theodore Alexander’s Holdenhurst is priced from $3,599. Available through Baer’s Furniture, Naples and Fort Myers.

Welcome to the jungle

Welcome to the jungle

As if the oh-so sleek and shiny, Bentley black leather wasn’t luxe enough, Maitland-Smith adds leopard-hair hide upholstery and just a touch of gold to an anything-but-ordinary accent chair. A dark aubergine finish complements the sheer animal magnetism. Priced at $2,190 and available at Henredon Interior Design Showroom, Miromar Design Center, Estero.

Miami nice

Miami Nice

Inspired by Miami of the 1950s and ’60s, Zinc Textiles’ new collection—a favorite of Naples designer Janet Bilotti—pays homage to the city with bold color, printed velvet, Versace-esque chains and op-art patterns. Shown here are a curving sofa upholstered in Ziggurat, a stacked pyramid velvet; violet Lunar striped draperies; and a pillow (center) referencing the Miami masterpieces created by architect Morris Lapidus. Available through Janet Bilotti Interiors.

Natural beauty

Kira Krümm International Design, Photographer Randall Perry

Water and age worked their magic on the wild cherry top of this coffee table, creating a patina of rich golds, reds and browns and a live edge. Recovered from a river in North Florida, the wood is 150 years old and supported by legs of weathered driftwood collected on Cayo Costa. The table is $1,850 and available at DiFilippo Kent in Arcadia.
