Mediterranean Meets the Gulf

Chef Gino Sciallis brings the fresh tastes of italy’s ligurian Mediterranean seafood to Naples. His zuppa di pesce is a generous serving of tender littleneck clams, Prince Edward Island mussels, shrimp, calamari and fish, served with a bouillabaisse-style tomato broth, pasta and crisp crostini. It’s a refreshing delight, especially when served by his Italian-speaking wait staff. Gaja Ristorante, 1170 Third St. S., Naples; (239) 261-9677.
