The Baker Museum

Through 7/6 American marine art and maritime artifacts are exhibited in The Coast and the Sea, organized by the New-York Historical Society. The exhibit is complemented by The Sea in American Art: Selections from the Permanent Collection. Featuring nearly 100 dioramas devoted to current Belgian artists and art movements, Museum to Scale 1/7 recalls the Wunderkammern, or “cabinets of curiosities and wonder.” Nearly 300 works by Collier County K-12 students are on display in the Sixth Annual Student Exhibition. Art as Activism showcases pieces from the museum’s permanent collection that focus on the social and political upheaval that followed Mexico’s 1910 revolution.
