What We’re Drinking: Leone from Tasca d'Almerita

Leone from Tasca d'AlmeritaLike every year, season winds down and while summer is knocking at the door, I know that this is the perfect time to open one of my favorite white Italian wines. Leone from Tasca d'Almerita is 80 percent cataratto and 20 percent chardonnay—a unique blend that works perfectly.

Round and soft with well-balanced acidity, this is a must-have wine that stands out for its textured and refined personality with a long, creamy finish.

It has notes of pink grapefruit, citrus flowers, white peach and pineapple. It is a good match for Florida's hot summers and pairs well with local seafood dishes.
