Bottoms Up: Drinks with a Side of Jazz at Slate's Sidedoor

BY November 2, 2016

A high note when visiting New Orleans is a backdrop of jazz, especially when you feel like having a Sazerac in the wee hours. The Gulfshore’s answer to being in a Crescent City state of mind, Slate’s, is a restaurant in Cape Coral with dependably okra-rich gumbo and fluffy beignets. It has recently taken the authentic experience a step further by adding Slate’s Sidedoor. It’s a jazz lounge with its own menu, live acts five days a week and stays open for Pimm’s Cups and Hurricanes till the city mandates the doors be shut.
