Design Trends: Alfresco Accents
By the pool, solo or in pairs, Sifas’ stunning Sakura broad-backed armchair adds sculptural sophistication to the backyard. Its 9-degree angled back is ergonomic and comfortable; the proprietary Hydropass fabric, designed to dry in just 15 minutes, is available in three hues. Priced at $2,590, at Casa Italia, Miromar Design Center, Estero.
Ebel’s Dreux day bed, shown in driftwood-hued wicker and blue cushions with a canopy and ottoman, lets you master the art of cat-napping without venturing inside. Priced at $6,844 as shown, the day bed is available through KVS Interior Design, Bonita Springs.
Be warned: Even the prettiest cocktail is bound to pale in comparison to the bright bold palette of artist Alexis America’s Water Lilies tray. The tray measures 15 by 20 inches and is heat- and moisture-resistant. Priced at $118, it’s at Peach Tree Designs, Naples.
A la Cart
Think of Theodore Alexander’s Cheers Drink Cart as a bar that follows you around. Stock the three hand-silvered mirrored tiers with lemonade, mixers and libations and keep it pool- or chaise-side for instant refreshment. (Bonus if you find a cabana boy to cart it around after you.) Available in November at Baer’s, Naples and Fort Myers, the cart has a partially pierced gallery and open interlacing geometric sides. Priced at $4,785.
Pretty in Pink
Its preppy shade is so of-the-moment, adding just the right pop of saturated color to a lanai or front porch. Mirrored sides, lattice work and ball finials give the Largo indoor/outdoor planter added oomph. Also available in white, green and turquoise, the planter is priced at $750 and available at Summerfields, Naples.
An antique rust finish and an iconic base give this terracotta statue the look of antiquity. Measuring more than six feet tall, it’s a new offering by Maitland-Smith and an ideal reference to Southwest Florida’s ties to the sea. Priced at $2,340 and available at Henredon in Miromar Design Center, Estero.
