Fabio and Giuliano Anastasini’s foot juggling performance keeps Circus Sarasota spectators on the edge of their seats.
Circus Sarasota is coming to town, with acrobats, aerialists, clowns and more to amaze and amuse you. Performances open Friday and continue through March 28 at Gulf Coast Town Center. Tickets for opening weekend are half-price (regular prices from $10 to $42). Get them at the box office in front of the tent, or through www.circussarasota.org or (877) 355-9805.

Diana: Dresses of Inspiration  opens Saturday at The von Liebig Art Center. Timed tickets are being offered to allow visitors enough time to peruse the Princess of Wales’ dresses and other royal memorabilia. Ticket demand is high for the first weeks of the exhibit, which continues through June 27 (www.naplesart.org, 262-6517, ext. 101).

Looking for some comic relief? In Theatre Conspiracy’s All the Great Books (Abridged), opening Friday at the Foulds Theater, three actors perform a parody of the classics, from Beowulf to War and Peace (www.theatreconspiracy.org, 936-3239). The popular comedy Love, Sex and the IRS opens tonight in Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre’s Off-Broadway venue (www.broadwaypalm.com, 278-4422). And on a more serious note, Florida Repertory Theatre begins its Lunchbox Theatre Series for children and families with And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank. Performances will be Saturday as well as April 3 and 17 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center (www.floridarep.org, 332-4488).

Thousands are expected to turn out Saturday at Coconut Point to Race for the Cure, which benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Join a team or register at www.komenswfl.org.

Then don your Irish green and plan your St. Patrick’s Day festivities, which begin Sunday with the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Naples, bolstered by McCabe’s Irish Pub party. The Village on Venetian Bay has its own “genuine Irish shindig” today with music, dance, Irish fare and more (www.venetianvillage.com), and Big Cypress Marketplace (www.bigcypressmarketplace.com) celebrates Sunday. On Wednesday, McCabe’s continues the celebration with an all-day “Irish extravaganza.” And at Bell Tower Shops, Shamrocks & Shenanigans St. Patty’s Day tent party kicks off at 4 p.m. (www.thebelltowershops.com, 489-1221). Other celebrations include the Art League of Bonita Springs’ (www.artcenterbonita.org) evening of music from Ireland and around the world at the Promenade, and the Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Track (www.naplesfortmyersdogs.com), featuring Irish musicians, corned beef and cabbage, a dance contest and more.

  • Discover the magic of Cirque Dreams Illumination, from the creators of Broadway’s Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, opening Tuesday and playing through March 21 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall (www.bbmannpah.com, 481-4849).
     
  • A Couple of Blaguards, a two-character comedy by brothers Frank and Malachy McCourt, will take the stage March 17 and 18 at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts (www.thephil.org, 597-1900). Malachy McCourt will be on hand for a Q&A after the show.
     
  • In A Conversation with Marlee Matlin and Henry Winkler Monday at the Phil, the actors will discuss their careers and how Winkler met Matlin and became her mentor(www.thephil.org, 597-1900).
