\n Join the Naples Concert Band (www.NaplesConcertBand.or g) as it presents guest conductor and composer Dr. James Swearingen at its February Concert in the Park on Sunday\, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Cam bier Park.
\n\n Dr. Swearingen will select gems from his over 450 pu blished works - including band compositions and arrangements that reflect a variety of musical forms and styles - and conduct them during the second half of the concert. \;Three Naples Concert Band (NCB) members will a lso be featured with Dr. Swearingen. They are Franklin Summers\, narrator\ ; Lou DeBonzo\, alto saxophone\; and Lori Beshears\, trumpet. \;The fi rst half of the concert will feature outstanding vocalists Janine and Dunc an Connell. \;They will sing\,"\;Love Changes Everything\,"\; from Andrew Lloyd Webber'\;s musical\, "\;Aspects Of Love"\;. & quot\;Overture to Candide"\;\, "\;Young Persons Guide to John Will iams"\;\, "\;Sinatra\,"\; and "\;Barnum and Bailey'\;s Favorite\,"\; will also be performed.

\n\n Dr. Swear ingen is known for serving as one of several resident composers at Capital University and as a staff arranger for The Ohio State University March ing Band. In addition to his teaching responsibilities\, Dr. Swearinge n manages to be very active as a guest conductor\, adjudicator\, and educa tional clinician. Appearances have included trips throughout the United St ates\, as well as Japan\, Australia\, Europe\, Can ada\, and The Republic of China. \; Many of Dr. Swearingen& rsquo\;s over 450 published works - including 81 commissioned works - have been chosen for contest and festival lists and he has been named a recipi ent of several ASCAP awards for published compositions. \; Scor es of Dr. Swearingen'\;s most popular band compositions have been recor ded by The Washington Winds and are available on compact discs from Walking Frog Records. \; His recordings include &ldquo\;In All Its Gl ory&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;Exaltation&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;Panther in the Sky&rdqu o\;\, &ldquo\;Celebration For Winds And Percussion&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;The L ight Of Dawn&rdquo\;\, and the newest release\, &ldquo\;Flight of Valor&rd quo\;.
