Small Works with Big Impact

See the best of Belgian art in a unique exhibit.

BY March 13, 2014

With Museum to Scale 1/7, you’ll see the art of Belgium at its best—in miniature. Saturday through July 6, The Baker Museum will house nearly 70 exhibits in one in a project spurred by renowned collector Ronny Van de Velde. Doubling as homage to the boîte-en-valise of Marcel Duchamp and Gulliver’s Travels illustrations by J.J. Grandville, the galleries represent Belgian art movements through the diverse works of historic and contemporary artists. The experience also lets you add “curator” to your bag of tricks; by selecting your favorite dioramas and scanning their codes with your smartphone, you register your viewing behavior to help create the ideal exhibition through the project’s website. artisnaples.org
