Get Your Tickets: Clybourne Park in Fort Myers

Florida Rep takes on one of recent theater's most celebrated plays.

BY March 19, 2014

Florida Rep has theater buffs buzzing in anticipation of Clybourne Park. Equal parts poignant, provocative and hilarious, the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning “dramedy” examines a fictional Chicago community set before and after the play’s trailblazing inspiration, A Raisin in the Sun. A humble house is at the center of racially charged debate—first in 1959, when African-American homebuyers arrive in the all-white neighborhood, and 50 years later in the hands of a now outnumbered white family. Showings begin Friday, March 21. floridarep.org
