After a whirlwind weekend of stunning film showings, Naples International Film Festival (NIFF) Executive and Artistic Director Shannon Franklin and Program Director Ellen Goldberg announced the winners of the 2014 NIFF Awards yesterday at Silverspot Cinema in Mercato.
Awards were presented in the following categories:
- Rising Star Award: Travis Gutiérrez Senger, Director, Desert Cathedral
- Neapolitan Award: Slingshot, Director Paul Lazarus
- Indie Spirit Award: Trouble Dolls, Directors Jennifer Prediger, Jess Weixler
- Audience Award Short: The Gunfighter, Director Eric Kissack
- Audience Award Documentary: The Life and Mind of Mark DeFriest, Director Gabriel London
- Audience Award Narrative Feature: East Side Sushi, Director Anthony Lucero
- Audience Award Florida Film: Grace., Director Heath Jones
