Design Trends: Model Mania

A peek inside some hot designer-furnished model homes

BY July 1, 2015

Build it and they’ll buy was the motto for many designer-furnished model homes this season. Several sold before and shortly upon completion throughout Naples’ luxury communities, including Beasley & Henley Interior Design’s Astoria 1 model, a four-bedroom island-style model built by Stock Development in The Moorings (below). “The wife just loved the design,” says Stephanie Henley, a principal in the Naples and Winter Park firm. “They didn’t expect to like transitional interior design but she commented on how well everything was put together and flowed perfectly.” Featuring a light palette of creams and grays and extensive wood finishes and accents, the model sold for $3,295,000.

The dynamic duo of London Bay Homes and Romanza Interior Design continued its Girona model winning streak (above), selling within the popular single-family villa floor plan at Mediterra. One of the models also featured transitional interior design, fetched $2.7 million and will stay open for viewing through Dec. 15. It, too, has a mostly cream and gray palette with pops of papaya and cobalt and an incredible pool area.
