Pleased your overturned bucket of sand didn’t crumble into a shapeless mess? Thought your shell-studded heart on the shore was pretty cool? We hate to say it, but think again. The American Sand Sculpting Championship is back on Fort Myers Beach, and—as usual—the creations that arise will be putting our efforts to shame. Competitors make our jaws drop year after year as we watch them build the likes of life-size and life-like people, fantastical beasts and whimsically elaborate scenes from unassuming water and sand.
