Just a little bit of meditation can go a long way.

Dr. James E. Stahl of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a team of Harvard researchers have found that patients who practice meditation are less likely to end up in the doctor’s office or ER. So, based on his research, Harvard Health Publications has come up with a quick way to calm your inner self throughout the day. Just 10-15 minutes a day can work wonders, according to the researchers.

Their guide focuses on focused meditation techniques done throughout the day. Find the full guide here. It may take some time to get the hang of it. But, as research is showing, practicing those specific techniques (as opposed to just sitting cross-legged on the floor and daydreaming, for example) can have many legit medical benefits
