How to Spend Your Easter Weekend

BY March 24, 2016

Easter weekend is one of the last busy weekends of the season here in Southwest Florida. Whether you’re looking for the Easter bunny or a nice brunch, Lee and Collier counties have plenty going on. Here’s a few suggestions for what to do:

Easter wouldn’t be the same without an egg hunt. Check these out at C’MonNaples Botanical Garden and the Royal Scoop Egg Hunt. Or, take the kids to an egg hunt on Picnic Island with Adventures in Paradise. The Naples Zoo also puts a spin on the egg hunt at its Spring Fest. Watch the animals find and get treats of their own.

If you’re looking for a more grown-up type of egg hunt, check out what Norman Love and Mark Loren Designs are doing.

Balance out all that Easter candy with one of many Easter brunches, buffets and dinners around town. Our Hot Dish newsletter makes several recommendations:

Over-the-top hotel buffets: Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, La Playa Resort, Naples Bay Resort, The Naples Beach Hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, South Seas Resort and The Westin Cape Coral

Restaurants with unique brunch or dinner specials for the holiday: Angelina’s Ristorante, Avenue 5, Capital Grille, DeRomo’s, George and Wendy’s Sanibel Seafood Grille, Osteria Tulia, Sea Salt, Seasons 52, Shula’s, The Edison, The Veranda

Something for the sports fan: JetBlue Park is hosting a barbecue along with a game. The Easter bunny will be there, of course, along with Wally the Green Monster.

And, the motorcycle fan: Six Bends Harley-Davidson with the Southwest Florida H.O.G. chapter will hold its annual toy run.

If you’re looking to get away from all this egg-hunting, bunny hopping madness, maybe check out some theater: Kinky Boots is playing at Artis—Naples and Gulfshore Playhouse debuts An Enemy of the People.
