Some of us homebodies would love to stroll art show after art show—minus the overwhelming, rubbernecking, shepherding crowds. Enter the annual 5 Painters and a Potter, on March 19, which offers a good range in media but with a much more intimate setting and relaxed pace. (Think chatter, music, snacks and flip-flops under some leafy shade.) The six local artists unite in the courtyard of ceramicist Jim Rice’s gallery and working studio, The Clay Place, for a gathering that’s somewhat like an ode to Florida—both in its collection of Gulfshore-inspired works and reunion of longtime and native Neapolitans.
