Southwest Florida has hosted many (many) a quality trunk show. And the one coming up at Patina Collection certainly won't be the last. But it does have some high-level sparkle.

The show, "From Capri, with Love," will feature the fine jewelry designs of Faraone Mennella, the brand from famed Italian designers Amedeo Scognamiglio and Roberto Faraone Mennella. Their pieces have been worn by names like Oprah, Brook Shields, Jennifer Aniston. They've been featured in publications like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar. They even made several appearances on the fashion-forward Sex and the City, which led to a 5-year collaboration with designer Carolina Herrera.

So, who knows? Maybe attendees can wrangle some fun celeb facts from the men along with their sparkling wares. But best yet: 10 percent of the show's proceeds benefit The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. And a private event with the designers preceding the show, the evening of Feb. 8, will feature an auction of three pieces they've donated, 100 percent of which will also benefit the shelter.

The show runs Feb. 9-10 at Patina Collection, a furniture and design showroom specializing in a European aesthetic, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those interested in attending the Feb. 8 gathering of music, hors d'oeuvres and the silent auction can call Patina Collection at (239) 300-0092.
