Get Exercising! (Just Not Too Much)

Overtraining syndrome. It’s a thing.

BY March 29, 2018

Some athletes, especially elite-level performers, typically experience overtraining at some point. But it can affect the amateur, as well. The first sign, according to the American Council of Exercise? Declining performance. If you’re running and running and those times aren’t getting better, perhaps it’s time to give your body more rest. Also keep an eye out for restlessness during sleep, moodiness and lack of motivation. Those are all signs from your body that something is out of whack. Don’t push yourself too hard—remember, sometimes time off can be your best friend.
