Sit up straight! Pay attention! Turns out that your strict elementary school teacher had it right all along. Multiple studies recently have found that slouching may actually be linked to low energy and a poor mood. You may not know it, but you could be slouching toward a bad day. If you’re looking to improve your posture, try exercises that strengthen the muscles between the shoulder blades, such as an upright row, strength and conditioning specialist William Smith told Time. Pretty soon you’ll be upright and feeling fine.
