Southwest Florida is known for its prime dining spots. Now, it’s getting some national recognition.
The Bay House and The Turtle Club were named to OpenTable’s top 100 most scenic restaurants in the U.S., based on user rankings. From our perspective, the cool thing about both restaurants getting on the list is that they showcase the diversity of Southwest Florida’s environs. The Bay House, off Walkerbilt Road, is surrounded by mangroves, giving off a quaint yet sophisticated Southern feel to match its menu. (Our food editor once saw a manatee frolicking in the bay from the main dining room.) The Turtle Club, in the Vanderbilt Beach Resort, is beachfront dining at its best. (By the way, both restaurants are owned by the same group, which just launched The Claw Bar in Naples.)
